Nobody Asks the Donkey

Value: Gods Faithfulness

Sydney the Donkey and Muriel the sheep walked along the rough Egyptian road attempting to stay up to date with the crowd. Everybody was all in a rush and upset and pressing and shouting ever considering that Moses lastly got the Pharaoh to let the Israelites go and Moses had the Hebrew nation pack up everything and march towards to the Red Sea and to flexibility.

Well this was an unexpected trip. Muriel said running a bit to avoid the switch her master was utilizing to keep the animals moving.

Exactly what are you complaining about? Sydney responded. Take a look at all the junk I have on my back. They make me carry everything.

Well why do not you simply dump it on the road? You are a donkey, individuals expect you to be stubborn. The practical sheep encouraged.

Well its not that bad. Besides that is what God created me to do and if it makes me useful, then I will have an area in the Promised Land. Sydney said optimistically.

What is that? Muriel asked.

That is where we are going silly. The donkey informed his buddy. This isn’t really just a getaway trip you know. God did all those fantastic miracles back there to obtain us out of slavery and to take His people to the Promised Land, which they state, resembles paradise. This is the trip to obtain there Muriel. Pretty interesting huh? Sydney answered her.

Oh oh, difficulty. Muriel mentioned and she understood exactly what she was discussing. Just ahead, the caravan concerned the edge of the Red Sea and they were grinding to a stop. This is dreadful, Sydney Muriel stated in a panic. Look at that river. You cant even see the opposite and it is churning and flowing. It needs to be a mile deep. No one can cross that. Look at Moses just looking at it. He didnt have a plan for this. I understood it. This is just what the mistress of our household stated all along. Moses ought to have left us in slavery. At least we wouldnt be backed up to the sea prepared to be slaughtered by Pharaohs military. And then Muriel began to cry which is a very undesirable thing to hear a sheep do.

Havent you been paying any attention all this time? Sydney said nudging the crying sheep so maybe she would stop crying. Remember exactly what God did to Pharaoh when he wouldnt let us go? He sent out afflict after pester. The sun went out, the sea counted on blood, frogs and locusts covered the land. That was all Gods doing since he loves us so much, he couldnt stand to see us in slavery. The donkey stated in his honking donkey voice.

How do you understand God will save us from this? This is desperate. Each one of the humans are upset and panicking. If you are so clever, how come none of them know exactly what you know? Muriel stated critically continuing to sniffle.

Well, no one asks a donkey what he considers things. Sydney stated sounding rather hurt that he was never consulted. It is amazing to me individuals of God remain to not trust Him. Take a look at all those miracles and with all of that, none of those awful things took place to us. God kept the houses and land of His people from all the plagues. Even that last one where he killed the very first born of every human and animal. God ensured our masters understood ways to prevent that disaster. I am grateful because my sibling Melvin is the first born and I would have hated to see him go like that.

All of a sudden the panic in the crowd got much worse. The individuals were howling, Pharaohs military is ideal behind us. They are virtually right here! The children playing around crying and bumping in to things and being stepped on by the grownups.

Come right here kids Sydney stated to the panicking children. But all they heard was a BRAY from his donkey face. However they appeared to comprehend because they hid under his legs to keep from being squashed.

Any space for a sheep under there? Muriel stated shyly. Sydney ran the 5 year old into her bros lap and Muriel snuggled in and all the youngsters hugged her warm fir.

Sydney, I am terrified. Muriel whispered so the children wouldnt cry.

Prepare, Muriel. I have no idea what God is going to do but he wont let his people pass away like this. God is faithful. He sent out Moses from far away to save us from slavery. Some day a fantastic Messiah will come and take all his people to paradise. I hope that consists of slightly foul-smelling donkeys and terrified little sheep like you Muriel. The donkey chuckled.

Well, that is at some point. For now the military of Pharaoh will certainly be here any minute and I hear Egyptians like lamb stew fairly a lot. She stated and afterwards she started to cried once more. The youngsters started to cry because she was crying and everybody was distressed.

You need to trust in the loyalty of God you silly sheep. The donkey scolded. Look, see at what Moses is doing?

Muriel peeked around Sydneys legs and when she did, the kids peeked too. Since they were on a ridge, they might see Moses standing in front of popular Red Sea facing it with his chest out. Then, he lifted his staff and spoke some words they might not make out. Suddenly, the sea started to crash and twist and alter and a valley opened up and pulled apart to make a substantial path that was completely dry. Moses signified and Gods individuals started crossing it to security, to redemption and to the Promised Land.

I am sorry I was such a big infant, Sydney. Muriel said sorry letting the youngest children ride on her back as they went into the parted sea. You are my close friend and you were right all along about Gods loyalty. She asked forgiveness.

Well, Sydney said warmly. Its ok, I am used to it. After all, nobody ever asks the donkey.
