This wooden bow tie is constructed from the exotic wood Lacewood. Lacewood is a wealthy, brown, South American hardwood which displays reflective ‘flakes’ through its strata. These flakes produce a beautiful chatoyance effect when exposed to light, forming distinctive patterns that give the wood its name. It’s finished with mineral oil and beeswax (both safe to eat) which assist prevent the wood from drying out whilst still keeping its natural feel. Straps come in random colors and don’t seem to be visible once the bow ties are put on. Adjustable sliders at the straps accommodate most neck sizes (13-19″). If you consider you wish to have a different size, let me know.
